Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 has ended for New York but what an amazing week! I was in such awe with the amazing colors, the designers creative take, and the venue setup; it takes a village as they say to put it all together.
Fashion Week is definitely one of those events I look forward to each year…mesmerizing us into the world of fashion.
What I love most is learning the trends of fashion that are coming up. How all designers bring their designs to life in such a way that they create an emotional imbalance to my closet. All I want to do is parade in those gowns down the street, without thought of where I’m going. I know not realistic, but a girl can dream, right? Haha!
I loved so many of the collections and the handwork that went behind each and the intricate details on certain pieces were amazing, especially the bead work. Fun Fact: I learned to sew when I was young so I know how hard it is to get the perfect fit and details sewn on, one-by-one, but a story for a different day.
So let’s recap on the best collections for Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018.
The collections that I loved the most were from:
- Sherri Hill
- Badgley Mischka
- Francesca Liberatore
- Mimi Prober
- Alexander Wang
- Cushnie et Ochs
- Tadashi Shoji; I want the entire collection, it was breath-taking to say the least.
Take a look at some of these amazing pieces.
I loved the gorgeous dresses that were girly, feminine yet classy at the same time. Anyone else with me on this?
I’m already thinking of how to use these upcoming trends to translate them into our everyday outfits to stay on trend for Spring/Summer 2018. For example: you can translate these looks with fun tops that have flirty ruffles, beautiful prints and colors. 🙂
Let me know in the comments if you need help with the upcoming trends.
In the meantime I’ll be waiting on London’s Fashion Week to start!
